About the Role

Forward March Inc. is partnering with a leading construction equipment rental company to provide career opportunities for Veterans and military spouses. As a Diesel Field Mechanic III, you will play a critical role in minimizing customer downtime on equipment through quick and accurate diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on diesel-powered equipment, including heavy machinery, trucks, and smaller tools.
  • Work primarily outdoors, often in less-than-ideal weather conditions, and adapt to the elements while maintaining safety standards.
  • Conduct thorough diagnostics and determine the appropriate repair procedures to ensure equipment safety and efficiency.
  • Travel to job sites and transport equipment to and from the service location, requiring a valid driver's license.
Requirements
  • 5-7 years of experience as a technician, preferably with a construction equipment background.
  • DOT medical card and valid driver's license.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with surroundings and ability to navigate using GPS or other navigation tools.
