Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst II to join our team at the Opportunity Council. This role will provide high-level accounting support to our programs, including working with agency fiscal and program directors to develop and maintain reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain reporting systems for planning purposes and monitoring of spending progress.
  • Maintain and input program budgets in Intacct to facilitate programmatic and agency-wide reporting.
  • Calculate and provide financial information to facilitate contract renewals and applications.
  • Assist in the review of allowable charges to grants, preparation of monthly billings, and grant closeouts.
  • Work on special projects for developing systems in new areas of the agency undertaking and/or in new approaches to existing operations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Nonprofit experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to provide guidance, internal consulting, and technical direction regarding significant issues.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under stress, producing accurate information and reports in a timely manner.
  • Computer skills, including complex Excel, ABRA (payroll software), and Intacct (financial software).
Working Conditions

Work is performed in a fast-paced office environment with frequent interruptions and occasional crisis situations. Travel may be required to attend local and statewide level meetings. Majority of work centers on client services and procedures that require a high degree of confidentiality, tactfulness, and respect for clients from a diversity of economic and ethnic backgrounds.
