Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Kennel Technician to join our team at Alliance Animal Health. As a key member of our animal care team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and attention to our patients in the hospital and boarding facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for and feed patients in the hospital and boarding facility
  • Medicate and clean patients as needed
  • Restock hospital supplies and assist with post-operative patients
  • Help doctors and assistants with animal restraint and exams
  • Keep accurate records of medications, special foods, appetite, behavior, and any issues that may arise while the animal is in our care
Requirements
  • Knowledge of cleaning and disinfecting methods
  • Proper methods of animal restraint
  • Ability to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency
  • Perform moderately heavy physical labor
  • Ability to sympathetically and patiently attend to sick, scared, and injured animals
  • Ability to learn to administer medications and recognize abnormal conditions
  • Understand and carry out oral and written directions
  • Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of the job
