Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sleep Disorder Technician to join our team at Bozeman Health. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of sleep disorder testing, including EEG testing and CPAP setup and compliance tracking.
  • Assist patients in all aspects of meeting compliance, including CPAP mask fitting and therapy compliance issues.
  • Work closely with the Sleep Center Medical Director and Sleep Center Supervisor to assure excellence in patient service.
  • Assist in setup of pre-surgery CPAP patients.
  • Required to be proficient in scoring and evaluating polysomnograms.
  • Run adult and pediatric EEGs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
  • American Heart Association BLS.
  • Previous EEG experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Essential Job Functions:
    • Set-up CPAP machines and assist patients in all aspects of meeting compliance.
    • Assist and educate patients in CPAP mask fitting and all therapy compliance issues.
    • Work closely with Sleep Center Medical Director and Sleep Center Supervisor to assure excellence in patient service.
    • Assist in setup of pre-surgery CPAP patients.
    • Required to be proficient in scoring and evaluating polysomnograms.
    • Run adult and pediatric EEGs.

Physical Requirements
  • Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling:
    • Support 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.)
    • Lift 50 pounds (pick up a child, transfer a patient, etc.)
    • Carry equipment/supplies.
Exposures
  • Job tasks may involve exposure to:
    • Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues.
    • Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed
    • Various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances.
    • Infectious diseases due to contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses
    • Emotionally challenging situations, such as dealing with distressed patients or difficult family interactions.
