We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Wellstar Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care, using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking to ensure individualized care.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity and partnering with patients and significant others to set and achieve goals.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards, coordinating the delivery and documentation of safe, quality patient care that promotes the professional care delivery model.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care, and actively support shared governance at all levels in the system.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Promote evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement in nursing, participating in activities such as value analysis to evaluate patient care products.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing is preferred.
- Reg Nurse (Single State) license, RN - Multi-state Compact license, Basic Life Support certification, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification are required upon hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification is preferred.
