Job Title: Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Leidos, supporting the Naval Array Technical Support Center (NATSC) located at Navy Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC), Newport, Rhode Island.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be one of the electrical engineers for the NATSC towed array depot, responsible for conducting engineering investigations, providing reports of investigation findings, and troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical and electronic components and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct engineering investigations to resolve issues using industry best practices, including calculations as appropriate.
  • Provide reports of investigation findings, including investigation and test methodologies used, tests accomplished, ideas considered, and recommendation(s) made.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and repair electrical and electronic components and equipment, including relays, power supplies.
  • Develop scripts and programs for different types of programmable controllers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college.
  • Four (4) years of directly related experience may offset the degree requirements.
  • Able to obtain/maintain DOD security clearance at the Secret level.
  • Able to generate reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of current surface and submarine towed sonar arrays/modules and their testing and repair procedures.
  • Experience with the layout and operation of NATSC capital equipment used for towed array module repair and testing.
  • Active DOD secret clearance.
