Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Infection Prevention Specialist to join our team at Geisinger in Danville, PA.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position responsible for providing quality patient care and ensuring successful regulatory surveys. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and a Bachelor's Degree.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates and participates in the development and implementation of Infection Control programs and activities in assigned areas and departments.
  • Identifies, recommends and implements changes to improve infection prevention and control practices and provides education to assure the effectiveness of the Infection Control Program.
  • Coordinates rounds in all patient care areas and identifies potential hospital acquired infections.
  • Reviews appropriate laboratory data and medical records for surveillance and reporting purposes.
Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience are required for this role.
