Madison Collective is seeking a visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary team in the breathtaking Blue Ridge Mountains. This exceptional opportunity offers a generous annual base salary of $130,000 - $140,000+

This prestigious role oversees all culinary operations for 2 full-service restaurants, IRD, banquets/events, and the upcoming design and opening of a third restaurant.

The ideal candidate will possess a culinary degree and prior experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a luxury hotel setting. A minimum of 3+ years of culinary experience in established restaurants and/or catering companies is required.

We are looking for someone with Michelin-level experience, strong customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and co-workers. Excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and a passion for farm-to-table cuisine are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative menus that reflect the establishment's culinary vision, considering seasonal ingredients, dietary preferences, and culinary trends
  • Oversight of kitchen operations, including staff supervision, food preparation, inventory management, and adherence to health and safety standards
  • Standardization of recipes and consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation across all dishes prepared in the kitchen
  • Training and mentoring kitchen staff, guiding culinary techniques, sanitation practices, and teamwork to maintain high performance levels
  • Monitoring food costs, labor expenses, and kitchen waste, implementing strategies to control costs while maintaining quality standards and profitability

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree preferred
  • Prior experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a luxury hotel setting
  • Minimum 3+ years culinary experience in established restaurants and/or catering companies
  • Must meet targets for key metrics: culinary customer satisfaction, culinary employee satisfaction, and food cost
  • Strong customer service, financial, and culinary skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, adaptability, and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to foster a culture of consistency and promote positive relationships with all guests
