Our 300+ patient beds provide a range of services, including emergency care, cardiac care, women's services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, a bariatric clinic, and a Minimally Invasive Surgery Center.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Inpatient Rehab to join our team. As a Registered Nurse Inpatient Rehab, you will provide professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and collaborate with other members of the healthcare delivery team to deliver quality healthcare.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating patient progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient care and develop plans to improve patient outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the medical record.
- Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- Current BCLS certification.
- Minimum College: Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
- Attainment of CRRN or within two years working on the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit the nurse will take and pass the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse examination.
- Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transfer physician's orders.
- Knowledge of body substance isolation.
- Uses the FIM instrument to assess patient functional level of independence throughout the rehabilitation program.
- Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish.
