Job Summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers is seeking a highly skilled Medical Physicist to join our team in our fast-paced out-patient oncology clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting all aspects of radiation therapy physics, including clinical medical physics support, equipment calibration and commissioning, maintenance of quality assurance programs, and compliance with radiation safety and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all aspects of radiation therapy physics, including clinical medical physics support and equipment calibration and commissioning.
  • Maintain quality assurance programs and ensure compliance with radiation safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with radiation therapists, dosimetrists, and radiation oncologists to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery.
  • Provide training for new clinical systems and programs, and provide radiation safety training.
  • Develop and implement new treatment protocols and commission new radiologic systems.

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or PhD in Medical Physics or a closely related field.
  • 2 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy physics.
