CNC Burner Operator

We are expanding our operations and seeking a Burn Operator for the 2nd Shift (with shift differential). This role involves the setup and operation of machinery within the burner category, specifically plasma and oxy-fuel systems. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to maintain production efficiency and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze manufacturing blueprints to identify appropriate sizes and placements for welds.
- Possess a fundamental understanding of metal hardness concepts (BHN Test).
- Assist and supervise the table loader to ensure safe operations.
- Utilize CNC technology to configure burner cutting controls.
- Optimize job layouts for maximum material efficiency.
- Conduct necessary quality inspections of materials and equipment.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on burning machinery.
- Understand basic principles of chemistry and the physical properties of metals.
- Establish correct machine settings and tolerances.
- Willingness to work overtime as required.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in burning (plasma/oxy) in a comparable role.
- Capability to manage a physically demanding workload.
