Utilization Review Nurse - PRN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Utilization Review Nurse to join our team at LifeBridge Health. As a Utilization Review Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient use of healthcare resources while maintaining high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough chart reviews to assess clinical, financial, and resource utilization information.
  • Identify opportunities for intervention and coordination to decrease avoidable delays and denial of payment.
  • Collaborate with care managers to achieve optimal patient outcomes and reduce length of stay.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from a CCNE-accredited school.
  • Current Maryland Registered Nurse License.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Cerner.

Work Environment:

As a Utilization Review Nurse, you will work from home 95% of the time, with occasional on-site meetings and training sessions. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
