Reports to the Surgical Services Coordinator.
The Surgical Services Technician is a dedicated professional responsible for assisting in all surgical procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and supplies, and supporting the Operating Room team in maintaining efficient operations by executing various support tasks.
Essential Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Required Certifications:
Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician training program
Current BLS certification
Experience:
Successful completion of an OR Technician trainee program from a recognized institution
Skills & Competencies:
Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions in English
Physical Demands:
Sitting:
Up to 3 hours per day
Standing/Walking: 6-8 hours
Bending/Stooping: Up to 6 hours
Reaching: Up to 6 hours
Use of Upper Extremities/Grasping: Up to 6 hours
Lift/Push/Pull: 50 lbs, over 50 lbs with assistance or equipment.
This role requires the ability to hear alarms and instructions clearly.
