Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Midwest Vision Partners. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a vital role in the care of patients in a clinic setting, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction throughout their visit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interact with patients to gather information and accurately document their medical history, chief complaint, and present illness.
  • Perform diagnostic ophthalmic tests and procedures, such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry, to assist physicians in making informed decisions.
  • Assist with minor surgery procedures, intraocular injections, and laser treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to established standards and physician requirements.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, educating patients on medication administration, pre and post-operative instructions, and general eye health.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a medical setting preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods, lift up to 50lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
