About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Behavior Technician to join our team at Sevita. As a Behavior Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful implementation of behavior management programs for individuals we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with individuals served, building rapport and trust through effective communication and empathy.
  • Implement behavior management techniques and interventions in accordance with treatment plans, utilizing sound judgment and seeking consultation as needed.
  • Collaborate with families and treatment team members to provide effective behavior management techniques and minimize disruptions to the environment.
  • Educate parents/guardians on reinforcement and intervention strategies, promoting a comprehensive understanding of behavior management.
  • Review progress of individuals served, identifying solutions to barriers and making recommendations to supervisors and behavior analysts as needed.
  • Accurately collect and record behavior data, including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of staff and individual-related information.
  • Complete incident reports as required by agency policy and procedure.
  • Review daily updates for individuals served, implementing programs and training staff as needed.
  • Attend clinical meetings, including access review meetings, clinical team meetings, progress conferences, and other assigned meetings.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Preferred experience in a related field.
  • RBT credential preferred.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification as required.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport quickly.
  • A good listener with the ability to empathize while providing guidance.
