Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist plays a crucial role in the cardiac care team, focusing on diagnostic and interventional procedures. This position is essential for ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Certification Requirements
  • Mandatory Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, RCIS, and a valid WA Radiology License.
Job Details

  • Average Daily Caseload: 12-20 cases per technologist
  • Procedural Responsibilities: Involves handling diagnostic, emergent, and known intervention cardiac cases, including but not limited to Impella, Balloon Pump, CTO, Atherectomy, Structural Heart procedures (TAVR, Watchman), PFO, cardiomems, EKOS, loop recorders, and occasional pacemaker placements.
  • Weekend Requirements: Yes
  • Block Schedule Accommodation: Yes
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 40-hour contract

Job Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years required; first-time travelers are welcome.
  • Skills: Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating is essential.
  • Preferred Skills: Monitoring and EKG skills.
  • Required Experience: Balloon angioplasty, PCI, Stents, Thrombectomy, Impella insertion, Left/right heart catheterization, Rotablader, and Hemodynamic Monitoring.
  • Preferred Experience: Watchman Procedures, Septal Closure, Pacemaker/Defibrillator device placement, and TAVI/TAVR procedures.
