As a Research Scholar, you will engage in independent, mentored research projects that will allow you to develop your own hypotheses and design experiments to test these hypotheses or to be able to develop resources needed to test hypotheses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent research projects under the guidance of a mentor
  • Develop and design experiments to test hypotheses
  • Develop resources needed to test hypotheses
  • Participate in research apprenticeship and experiential activities
  • Present research findings and participate in grant writing workshops

Requirements

  • Hold a B.A./B.S. degree with a minimum GPA of 2.8/4.0 in a STEM major
  • Have graduated within the last three years
  • Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Demonstrate educational deficiencies due to economic deprivation or geographic disadvantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research and development
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment
