About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hydrogeologist to join our team at GSI Water Solutions. As a key member of our water resources team, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in protecting and managing groundwater resources.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct field explorations and construction projects, including data collection and documentation.
- Collect and analyze hydrogeologic data, including soil, water, and geologic samples.
- Write field reports and participate in data analysis and report production.
- Research literature and historical information to support project work.
- Complete routine technical analyses with supervision.
- Deliver work products for projects involving basin analyses, aquifer characterization, well design, construction oversight, and testing.
- May participate in project management tasks, such as project budgeting and proposal writing.
This role requires working in a professional office environment and may involve fieldwork activities, including lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, and walking over uneven terrain.
Requirements- Ability to obtain a professional registration/license as a geologist or hydrogeologist or professional engineer in California.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- MS degree in geology, water resource engineering, natural resources planning, hydrogeology, or a closely related field.
- Familiarity with scope and budget development, budget tracking, and client communication.
- Familiarity with numerical techniques, including well hydraulics, groundwater flow, and wellfield simulations.
- Some experience with field data collection, including water quality sampling, geologic logging, and aquifer test setup and monitoring.
