About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Outcomes Strategist to join our team at Houston Methodist. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to contribute to the development and implementation of strategies aimed at improving patient care and outcomes.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and facilitating clinical systems and/or processes to ensure that care delivered is safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable. Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying outcomes variances and taking initiative for timely resolution of potential concerns;
  • Utilizing performance improvement methodologies to develop and implement solutions to improve complex processes and goals;
  • Serving as a departmental expert for areas of expertise, sharing knowledge, effective tools, and educational materials as appropriate;
  • Conducting educational offerings to support training, mentoring, and precepting of team members;
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and integrating data in workflow design to support team, departmental, and organizational mission and goals.

Highest Level of Education Required: Bachelor's degree in nursing

Years of Experience: Four years of experience in direct patient care activities in a hospital setting; three years of experience in Hospital Quality Improvement

Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in nursing or related field;
  • At least four years of experience in direct patient care activities in a hospital setting and three years of experience in Hospital Quality Improvement;
  • Valid RN-Temp licensure within 60 days and CPHQ certification within 18 months;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers;
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of process improvement tools and techniques, including statistical process control tools and team tools;
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions and evidence performance improvement via measurable results;
  • Computer skills to include Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to enter and abstract data using personal computer and utilize data to facilitate improvement and change in processes.
