We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dental Hygiene Instructor to join our team at Clayton State University. Key Responsibilities- Teaching and Mentoring: Provide clinical instruction to students, discussing their concerns and/or problems directly or indirectly related to the learning experience.
- Student Development: Assist students in developing an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to an oral health care provider.
- Clinical Practice: Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing clinical patients, providing clinical instruction as needed to enhance student performance.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Evaluate and grade student performance, discussing progress and performance with students at midterm and at the end of the course.
- Professional Development: Maintain the professional practice knowledge base needed to instruct learners in current dental hygiene practice.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work effectively as part of the overall faculty team, demonstrating positive interpersonal relations, collaborating with other faculty members to meet student needs, and participating in faculty meetings.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, Master's preferred.
- Experience: Prior experience in education, preferably in dental hygiene.
- Licensure: Current Dental Hygiene Georgia license and current CPR verification.
- Certifications: Must undergo a Criminal Background Check.
- Advanced Degree: Master's Degree in Dental Hygiene.
