We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team at Sutter Health. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and making informed decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to patients in the ICU, including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans that incorporate psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
- Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communication.
- Adhere to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws and regulations to promote an optimal patient experience.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- RN-Registered Nurse licensure for the state where care is provided.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 90 days.
- NIHSS-National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification within 90 days.
- TNCC-Trauma Nursing Corp Course certification within 1 year of hire.
- Minimum of six (6) months RN ICU experience within the last two (2) years.
- Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with regard to nursing theories, concepts, and practices.
- Working knowledge of the healthcare industry, safety precaution policies, best practices regarding patient care and privacy, and changes in local/state/federal regulations.
- Possess written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences.
- Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize patient care, assignments, and work within standardized policies, procedures, and practices.
- Basic knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook).
This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.
