Highly Skilled Inpatient Nurse

In accordance with the standards of care established by the State Board of Nursing, this role is responsible for delivering patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
Responsibilities:- Provides direct patient care including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure.
- Completes assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Addresses physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Formulates, coordinates, and provides a plan of care as established in unit standards including patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization with members of the interdisciplinary team.
This role requires the ability to work under a Temporary Practice Permit until you take NCLEX. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in initiatives that support the Magnet mission and actively contribute to patient quality and safety education programs designed to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety.
BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $39.75-$57.04 per hour, with up to $7 shift differentials for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Additionally, we provide full benefits starting on day one, including vision, dental, and domestic partner coverage. Our benefits package also includes pre-tax savings plans with healthcare and dependent care flexible spending accounts (FSA) and a health savings account (HSA), company-paid life insurance, short-term disability, and long-term disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan with automatic Geisinger contributions.
