Job Description

Cecil & Sons Discount Tire is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues, adhering to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs, including brake, suspension, and engine diagnostics.
  • Work with European vehicles and other high-performance vehicles.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to explain technical diagnoses and repair recommendations.
  • Document all work and recommendations in customer files.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any concerns to direct supervisor.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
  • ASE certifications or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to use computerized equipment for diagnostics.
  • Valid driver's license in the work state.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school experience preferred.
Working Conditions:

The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

The temperature in the work environment varies and could include extreme heat and/or extreme cold depending on the ambient temperatures outside.

The use of safety goggles or other PPE may be required when working in these conditions.

Physical Requirements:
  • Stand up to eight hours per day in the shop and able to walk to gain access to various areas of the building.
  • Bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly throughout the day.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, lift and/or move up to 70 pounds frequently.
  • Communicate with customers and shop personnel.
  • Vision sufficient to detect color, depth, and re-focus.
