Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician - Neurology Specialist to join our team at the Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive general neurological care to outpatients, including patient history, neurological examination, diagnosis, follow-up as needed, and medical record documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with other specialists and Primary Care PACT teams to ensure patients receive continuous quality care.
  • Prescribe medications according to federal and state law.
  • Perform neurologic procedures, such as NCS/EMG, EEG interpretation, and/or Botox administration, commensurate to your individual training and expertise.
  • Provide education to other physicians and healthcare professionals regarding neurological disorders and their treatments.
  • Participate in inpatient, outpatient subspecialty duties as assigned, including on-call assignments.
Requirements
  • United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
  • Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Residency Training: Physicians must have completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
