Position Summary:
Responsible for executing all cleaning duties as assigned by the Supervisor, adhering to contract specifications. Responsibilities encompass restroom sanitation, floor maintenance, window washing, general office cleaning, grounds upkeep, and pressure washing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibits proficiency in glass surface cleaning (e.g., windows) and general floor maintenance (e.g., stripping, waxing, and buffing).
  • Ensures safety in all aspects of the role by:
  1. Maintaining appropriate conduct while traveling, performing, and socializing.
  2. Practicing correct techniques for bending, lifting, and kneeling.
  3. Loading equipment into vehicles to ensure passenger safety and visibility for the driver.
  4. Operating machinery in a safe manner.
  5. Keeping unused equipment or chemicals organized at job sites to prevent accidents.
  6. Utilizing caution signs during sweeping, stripping, mopping, and waxing activities.
  7. Inquiring about proper usage and procedures for cleaning agents.
  8. Reading product labels carefully.

  • Completes all assigned tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Additional Duties May Include:
  1. Restroom disinfection
  2. Window washing
  3. Carpet vacuuming and shampooing
  4. Stripping, waxing, and buffing floors
  5. Trash disposal

  • Cleans equipment post-use (e.g., rinsing mops and cleaning machinery). Cleaning of vehicles may also be necessary.
  • Adheres to the rules and regulations established by WellLife Network.
  • Occasionally lifts or moves heavy items (e.g., transporting a buffing machine, loading equipment into vehicles, carrying heavy supplies).

  • May require climbing ladders for tasks such as changing light bulbs or cleaning high surfaces.
  • Ensures proper dilution and usage of cleaning chemicals as per specifications, necessitating the ability to identify and read labels.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Restocks supplies upon returning from job sites when applicable.
  • Engages in ongoing training and attends regular staff meetings.
  • Clears snow using various hand tools or snow blowers.
  • This list does not limit the assignment of duties or exclude the performance of other tasks as required by supervisors.
  • Must remain adaptable as work schedules and locations may change.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma preferred. Familiarity with cleaning equipment and maintenance procedures is essential. Must be able to obtain and wear the Agency uniform. A valid NYS Driver's license and access to a vehicle is advantageous. Basic computer skills are also beneficial.
