Position Summary
As a Supplier Quality Assurance Leader, you will oversee and manage all facets of Supply Quality assurance initiatives for ongoing and new projects. Your leadership will guide a team of Supplier Quality Engineers and Subject Matter Experts focused on enhancing Supplier Quality through selection, development, and continuous performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the development of all Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities and documentation, including PPAP, SPC, and Product Validation.
- Identify and resolve quality concerns from both internal and external customers regarding new and existing products.
- Establish strategic frameworks for the supply chain to align with sourcing strategies, ensuring timely and actionable improvements.
- Conduct technical reviews of part drawings and feasibility requirements to identify risks and opportunities within the APQP process.
- Support the execution of key supplier initiatives from prototype through production, focusing on continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure successful product launches that meet budget and timeline requirements.
- Lead cross-functional program teams, set objectives, monitor execution, and report progress to management.
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and TS certification requirements for the supply base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply quality and supplier development, particularly in high-complexity environments.
- Proven knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience managing APQP.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical and analytical software.
- Project management experience is a plus.
