Job Title: Software Developer

A Software Developer plays a crucial role in the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of both new and existing software applications.

This position also involves planning, installing, configuring, testing, implementing, and managing a systems environment that aligns with the organization's IT architecture and business requirements.

Employment Type: Contract/Remote

Pay Rate: $45- $50/hr, DOE

Working Hours: 20-30 hrs/wk

Key Responsibilities:

  • The Software Developer is tasked with analyzing and refining system requirements; translating these requirements into application prototypes; planning and designing system architecture; writing, debugging, and maintaining code; determining and designing application architecture; and designing user interfaces.
  • Collaborating with clients to test applications and ensuring software and system quality and functionality.
  • Integrating hardware and software components; writing and maintaining comprehensive program documentation.
  • Evaluating new software technologies and ensuring the rigorous application of information security policies and practices in the delivery of software services.
  • In the development of operating systems, the Software Developer is responsible for analyzing system requirements in response to business needs, risks, and costs; selecting and validating the systems software environment; and installing necessary compilers and utilities.
  • Integrating hardware and software components within the systems environment and monitoring performance to ensure optimal operation.
  • Assessing new systems engineering technologies and their impact on the operating environment, while ensuring that information security policies are integral to the operating environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in electronic data processing systems study, design, and programming.
  • At least four (4) years of that experience must have been in a leadership role.
  • A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field. (Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis).
  • Proven experience as a Drupal developer with Acquia Cloud expertise.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years' experience in Drupal support and maintenance, including core and security updates, module updates, and third-party plug-in updates.
  • Experience in General Development or Site Enhancement Services, including UI Development (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Angular, etc.).
  • Skills in Content Changes & Updates, Bug Fixes, Site Optimizations, General SEO Services, QA, Cross Browser Testing, and Site Performance Optimization.
  • Experience in Code Review, QA/Testing, and Site Audits.
