Position Overview:

Department: Internal MedicineSchedule: Full-time, 38.75 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with hours between 8:00 AM and 5:15 PM

This role encompasses a comprehensive range of medical support services while ensuring the utmost level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver effective patient care directly or through telephonic management.Provide care tailored to the specific needs of patients. Conduct interviews with patients and/or significant others upon admission. Utilize observational skills to assess patients, including their physical, psychosocial, and behavioral status. Identify and prioritize patient issues based on assessments.Collaboratively plan care with patients and the multidisciplinary healthcare team, involving patients and significant others as needed.Implement interventions and evaluate or modify the care plan based on patient needs or outcomes.Initiate nursing interventions that empower patients to maximize their health capabilities. Reassess and adjust the care plan according to the educational needs of patients or significant others. Use EMR tools to ensure timely completion of all primary and secondary prevention services.Administer, monitor, and evaluate all therapeutic interventions, including safe medication administration in accordance with Standard Policies and Procedures and applicable state and federal regulations.Upon completion of a training program, initiate intravenous therapy for hydration and medication administration as necessary.Administer intravenous medications, including limited IV push medications as required based on patient population.Document all aspects of patient care and education consistently. Relay pertinent information to physicians.Ensure that nursing judgments and plans are based on the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.Currently licensed as an RN in the State of Massachusetts.1+ years of RN experience.Proficient in various software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications:

3+ years of RN experience.BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.Experience in phone triage.Familiarity with EMR systems (EPIC).Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
