We are seeking a highly skilled Gastroenterology Specialist to join our esteemed team at CHRISTUS South New Mexico Gastroenterology Associates in Alamogordo, NM. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our department.

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a board-certified or board-eligible gastroenterologist to take on a challenging role as the sole provider in our outpatient clinic. You will have the flexibility to work with a variety of patients, including those with complex gastrointestinal conditions, and have the autonomy to develop your own practice.

  • Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
  • Patient Distribution: 100% Outpatient
  • Expected Patient Volume: 15-20 patients per day. Seeing 40-60 referrals from other providers.

You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology, including FibroScan and PillCam, and have the opportunity to expand our service offerings to better meet the needs of our patients.

About the Department

Our department is a small but growing office that values teamwork and collaboration. We offer a supportive and dynamic environment where you can grow professionally and personally.

  • We have four operating rooms, with block scheduling available for GI specialists to use one room at a time. Additionally, we offer access to an outpatient surgery center within the hospital, called Scenic View, which provides more flexibility for performing a variety of procedures.
  • Our general surgeons currently handle colonoscopies but are willing to transition this responsibility to allow for a more focused approach to patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must be board-certified or board-eligible in gastroenterology. New graduates are welcome to apply, and you should be comfortable working as the sole provider in our outpatient clinic.

Estimated Salary Range:

$250,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
