Job Title: Associate Test Engineer

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a highly skilled Associate Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for developing and executing tests to ensure the quality of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product design teams and sub-system lead engineers to determine product testing requirements.
  • Develop and execute test plans, test procedures, and test processes to maturity.
  • Train technical staff and provide technical support as needed.
  • Develop and implement automation into test processes wherever possible.
  • Ensure all tests and procedures meet company and industry standards.
  • Prepare test reports for management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant testing experience.
  • US Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical Engineering, or other closely-related fields.
  • Experience in a research, development, test, or other laboratory environment.
  • Experience with common laboratory software (LabView, Ansys, MATLab, etc.).
  • Experience with test automation.
  • Familiarity with general purpose electronics test equipment: power supplies, digital multimeters, source meters.
  • Familiarity with photovoltaic (PV) solar cells and their design, test, or manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with RF systems and test equipment: Spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generators, traffic generators, and other RF tools.
  • Familiarity with general mechanical tools and systems: pressure piping for fluids/gases, vacuum systems, pumps and piping, hand tools, basic mechanical ability.
  • Experience in quality control or inspection of complicated electronics, particularly those used for aerospace or defense applications.
  • Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complicated systems.
