Yazoo Mills, Inc. is seeking a skilled Winding Operator to join our team on 2nd shift in our New Oxford facility. As a Winding Operator, you will be responsible for operating spiral winders and cut-off saws to produce high-quality paper tubes and cores for various industries.
Key Responsibilities- Set up machines correctly to produce a quality product based on spec sheets and production orders.
- Measure, calibrate, and check the overall quality of the tolerances per spec sheet.
- Operate machines effectively and efficiently to minimize waste and optimize production.
- Analyze packaging and make adjustments as needed.
- Identify quality deficiencies and perform corrective action.
- Communicate finished product on production orders.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs., bend, stoop, and twist throughout the work day.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
