About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a Patient Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the nursing team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for review by a nurse, and assist in developing individualized care plans to meet patient needs.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care activities, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assist with patient transfers and transports, ensuring patient safety and comfort at all times.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
  • No prior experience required; willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Estimated salary: $38,500 per year, based on location and experience.
