Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatrician to join our team at the Department of Health and Human Services. As a Pediatrician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, with a focus on children and adolescents. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including routine check-ups, vaccinations, and treatment of illnesses and injuries.
  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and take a detailed medical history to diagnose and treat a wide range of medical conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that are tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and developments in the field of pediatrics.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of a pediatric residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).
  • Board certification in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP).
  • Current licensure to practice medicine in the state where the position is located.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain medical staff clinical privileges, including any licensure requirements.
Working Conditions

This position is located in a Federally operated hospital, health center, or clinic. As a result, you must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before entry on duty or have IHS approve a medical or religious exemption. If an exemption is approved, then wearing a face mask and regular testing for COVID-19 will be required.
