Job Summary
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in process control systems, including experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, Batch / SIS / MES, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems. You will work closely with our sales teams and customers to design, implement, and test process control strategies, utilizing continuous and batch capabilities of the given control system.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the on-site DeltaV Control Systems Engineer for a customer, providing technical support and executing specific tasks from defined goals.
- Develop and design Emerson DeltaV control systems, implementing control logic, configuring process graphics, and supporting customer acceptance reviews.
- Collaborate with customers to produce control system documentation, including Functional Requirements Specifications and System Configuration/Design Specifications.
- Implement continuous and batch designs into the DeltaV control system, conducting internal and customer-witnessed control system factory/site acceptance testing.
- Develop and deploy process simulation, perform Operator and Maintenance training, and conduct process control equipment installation and startup.
- Perform system upgrades and preventative maintenance activities, exploring new opportunities with customers to assess needs for product upgrades/expansion and services.
- Collaborate with sales teams in discussions as a product or service technical expert for existing and prospective customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent industry working experience.
- Experience with Emerson DeltaV DCS systems, Batch / SIS / MES, and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interface with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge of automation and distributed control systems, including instrumentation, PLCs, and HMIs.
Compensation Package
Our competitive compensation package includes a base hourly wage range of $32.40 - $61.00, with the potential for additional incentive compensation, including an annual profit share award and overtime pay. For candidates with 5-10 years of DeltaV and field experience, the starting wage could expand to $75.00 an hour.
