Job Summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to provide accurate and timely results for patient diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including blood bank, chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, and microbiology
  • Interpret test results and provide data for diagnosis and treatment of disease
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely results
  • Develop and implement processes to improve laboratory standards and quality
  • Perform moderately complex testing and proficiency testing according to CLIA, GHR, AABB, and JCAHO standards
Requirements
  • 1 year experience in a hospital setting
  • MT, AAB, AMT, ASCP, or NCA certification
  • College degree or equivalent years of experience
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience or recent graduate of an approved program
