B3 South is a specialized 20-bed medical-surgical unit focusing on patients facing challenges to discharge. This unit is managed by Nursing Support and Clinical Operations leadership.

Qualifications Required:
Education:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within 5 years of hire date into RN position. Grandfathering accepted between departments and Mission Health entities. Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council members. Facilities will ensure tracking of exemptions as needed. RNs with 10 years or more of experience are exempt.


Preferred Education:

Master's in Nursing.


Licensure/Certifications:

Must possess and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON.

Certificate: BLS Healthcare Provider.


Preferred Licensure/Certifications:

National Certification in area of specialty.


Preferred Experience:

One year of hospital nursing experience.
