Key Responsibilities- Patient Care Support: Act as a vital support to healthcare providers by delivering primary healthcare services and managing patient care effectively.
- Operational Collaboration: Work closely with administrative staff to enhance operational efficiency and optimize patient flow.
- External Interaction: Engage with external healthcare facilities and organizations concerning patient care and insurance matters.
- Competency Maintenance: Keep competencies updated, showcasing the ability to communicate effectively with leadership and accreditation bodies regarding processes and workflows.
- Front Office Duties: Perform front office responsibilities to ensure coverage as required.
- Cross-Departmental Support: Provide assistance in various departments or locations as necessary.
- Customer Service Excellence: Exhibit outstanding customer service skills, supporting a model of patient and family-centered care.
- Additional Responsibilities: Formally undertake at least two additional responsibilities, which should constitute a minimum of 20% of dedicated time, including but not limited to:
- Identifying primary care gaps and conducting outreach.
- Participating in residency clinic roles.
- High-level disinfection tasks.
- Serving as a designated preceptor for new hires.
- Engaging in special programs or grants.
- Care management duties.
- Acting as a qualified language interpreter.
- Super User for electronic health records systems.
- Providing advanced support to providers during complex procedures.
- Flexibly floating between multiple sites as needed.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Training: Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program, including clinical rotation, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience, which can include a completed internship and additional work experience.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized organization upon hire.
- Preferred Certifications: At least one certification from the preferred list of medical assistant credentials.
This position is a full-time role with a day shift schedule, emphasizing collaboration and support within a healthcare setting.
