Job Summary

Cook Children's Health Care System is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in a dynamic role that combines clinical expertise with administrative support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality physical therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment, and education.
  • Assist with registration and scheduling processes, ensuring accurate and timely patient information.
  • Verify health plan coverage eligibility and collect payment information, maintaining knowledge of various insurance plans and hospital financial assistance programs.
  • Provide administrative support to department therapists and the clinic manager, including documentation and communication with internal and external providers.
  • Maintain knowledge of JCAHO, HIPPA, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and departmental/System policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong interpersonal communication, documentation, and customer service skills required.
  • 1-2 years of hospital admissions or physician's office experience required, or 1-2 years of professional work experience.
  • Knowledge of health care insurance and managed care required.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • CPR - BLS preferred.
