Parking Control Officer Job Description

The City of Tustin, CA is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Parking Control Officer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for enforcing parking laws and regulations in our city.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patrol assigned areas to identify vehicles in violation of parking laws and ordinances
  • Issue parking citations to vehicles parked illegally
  • Arrange for the towing of abandoned vehicles, illegally parked vehicles, or vehicles in violation of other related laws and ordinances
  • Provide information and answer questions from the public regarding parking and related traffic regulations
  • Report criminal activity, graffiti, vandalism, and animal control needs
Requirements:
  • Graduation from high school and six (6) months experience in a position involving public contact
  • Possession of a valid California Class C Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • Enrollment in the DMV Pull Notice program
  • Satisfactory results from a background investigation, polygraph, physical examination, and administrative screening
Working Conditions:

This is a part-time, at-will, non-benefitted position with limited hours (less than 1,000 hours per fiscal year). Scheduled work hours and days may vary and may include holidays and/or hours outside of regular business hours.
