Job Title: Procurement Specialist

Alutiiq Information Management LLC is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for the cradle-to-grave procurement process, ensuring compliance with Alutiiq corporate procurement policies and procedures, IMAP contract guidelines, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Foreign Affairs Manual (FAM), and Department of State (DoS) guidance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate vendors based on price, quality, reliability, availability, and technical support.
  • Contract the appropriate product to be delivered and utilize best methods to reduce procurement and shipping expenses.
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
  • Facilitate the ordering of necessary goods to fill requisitions.
  • Collaborate with key personnel to ensure clarity of specifications.
  • Maintain accessible, current documentation/records.
  • Procurement requisition tracking and accountability.
  • Document all procurement activity for management review.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma with a minimum of 5-8 years of experience in corporate procurement, government procurement a plus.
  • Associates degree or above with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in corporate procurement, government procurement a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance, at minimum.
Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding and/or practice of government procurement.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational, data and records management skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities.
  • Aptitude in decision-making, and working with numbers.
  • Highly proficient and well-rounded knowledge of government procurement regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and familiarity operating in customer-oriented environments.
