Job Overview:

The Field Service Technician plays a critical role in supporting our on-site Hydrogen gas production facility. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, including maintenance and servicing of production, compression, dispensing, transportation, and/or storage equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining and servicing electromechanical equipment at customer sites.
  • Performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, and evaluations to optimize equipment efficiency and uptime.
  • Conducting specialized service procedures, including field retrofits and software and hardware upgrades to existing equipment.
  • Providing on-call and emergency support service to customers as required.
  • Assisting with troubleshooting and maintenance of high-pressure hydrogen systems and/or components, 480VAC, flammable, high pressure gas fueling and/or electrical systems.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with customer personnel hydrogen suppliers regarding aftermarket support of equipment.
  • Providing regular feedback to management regarding overall site performance and field maintenance issues and activities
  • Completing administrative duties & documentation, including incident reports, service logs, inventory maintenance and site and system documentation amongst other things.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety procedures in the field or customer sites.
  • Traveling as required for business needs; adhering to all traffic laws while driving.
  • Representing OneH2 in a professional manner and in all interactions.
  • Performing other duties as assigned to you by the Corporation, including, but not limited to, being on call 24/7 for all alarms, maintenance, etc.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance, gaining a thorough knowledge of the systems to adequately troubleshoot and identify trend analysis of equipment to achieve as close to 100% up time as possible.

Requirements:

  • Preferred 2 to 3 years or more years of direct experience in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, will look at new graduates as well.
  • Formal training and education may be also considered in lieu of direct experience.
  • A class A CDL with hazmat endorsement will be required within first year of employment. OneH2 will provide reasonable accommodation and reimbursement for the training and certification process.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds on regular basis unassisted.
  • Knowledge of lift truck operation and applications is highly preferred.
  • General mechanical aptitude is required.
  • Computer and software systems skills as applicable to position including but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Creativity in solving technical problems.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Uncompromising dedication to quality.
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time.
