Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified After-School Leader to join our team at Loudoun County Government. As an After-School Leader, you will be responsible for planning and implementing recreational activities for elementary and middle school-aged youth.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in childcare, recreation, and educational settings. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with six months of program experience with children.

Preferred qualifications include one year of programmatic experience, previous supervisory experience, and bilingual skills. Must undergo pre-employment criminal background and fingerprinting checks.

Responsibilities
  • Lead recreational programs for children by following curriculum and complying with safety standards.
  • Facilitate activities, group games, and reading time following curriculum plans.
  • Provide a welcoming and safe environment for children and assist with daily health checks.

Estimated salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
