Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Laborer to join our team as a Telecommunications Construction Specialist. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for completing general labor duties related to telecommunications construction, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor duties as directed by the Foreman/Supervisor, including loading, driving, delivery, digging, removal, and placement of various construction materials and equipment.
  • Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery, including trucks, cars, backhoes, trenchers, and other utility vehicles.
  • Install and maintain underground telecommunications cabling, including reading prints and interpreting utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • Maintain safe working habits and conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies, including adhering to OSHA, state, city/municipality safety requirements, and company training.
  • Work in congested or remote areas, maintaining visual and audible contact with other crew members and all moving or stationary persons/vehicles/objects to ensure safe coordination of movement.
  • Lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance.
  • Work overtime, after hours, on weekends, for emergencies, or on-call, as required.
Requirements
  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States for this company.
  • Have a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License.
  • Have basic knowledge of and ability to operate various types of utility trucks and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Have basic knowledge of and ability to use hand tools and equipment in a safe manner.
  • Have experience in the utility construction industry, or the ability to read prints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities.
  • Be able to communicate effectively with customers, employees, etc.
  • Be able to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Be able to work in all weather conditions.
