Job Overview

Position Summary:
Oversee the nursing operations within your designated unit during each shift. This role involves organizing and delegating tasks based on the resident demographics, staff expertise, and facility layout. Conduct regular rounds to assess and address the physical, emotional, and social requirements of residents. Responsibilities include preparing and administering medications, maintaining accurate records, providing treatments, and collaborating with physicians. Effective communication with the Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinators, and nursing staff is essential. This position carries the authority to ensure compliance with current federal and state regulations as well as established company policies and procedures. The individual in this role may hold a license as either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or a Registered Nurse (RN).


Licensure Requirements:
Must possess a valid, unrestricted nursing license in this state as either a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse. Registration with the State Board of Registration in this state is mandatory.
