Job Summary:
IU Health Methodist Hospital is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neurosurgical/Neuroscience Med/Surgical/step down unit. As a Travel Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting our team in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to a wide range of patients, including those with neurological and neurosurgical conditions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Participate in charge coverage and floating to different units as needed.
- Support early mobility and rehabilitation efforts to promote patient recovery and independence.
- Work effectively in a team environment to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit operations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on IV starts and medication administration.
- Experience in MS/Tele, PCU, or other critical care settings is highly desirable.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including 4x12 and 3x12 rotations.
Unit Information:
- Unit: Neurosurgical/Neuroscience Med/Surgical/step down unit.
- Staffing Ratios: Typically around 1:5-6.
