Job Overview

Sylvan Learning of Columbus, OH is a leading provider of supplemental education services to children in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade.

We are seeking part-time tutors to join our team. As a tutor, you will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and provided with the tools to deliver personalized instruction in reading, writing, math, and study skills. Evening and weekend hours are available.

With over 40 years of experience, we guarantee positive educational results every step of the way. Our instructors are certified, and our approach is personal and prescriptive, taking into account each individual child's needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Four-year degree or equivalent required
  • Teaching credential (current or expired) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred
  • Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension preferred for reading teachers
