About the Job Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies Main Hospital. As a Cath Lab RN, you will provide direct patient care in a technically complex environment, utilizing your critical thinking skills and decisive judgment to optimize patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the environment and orient the patient for procedures
- Assess the patient's medical record to ensure safety checklists are complete
- Respond to life-threatening situations using nursing standards and protocols
- Provide nursing care in a fast-paced environment, handling critical and highly stressful situations with efficiency and composure
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and/or families and provide education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances
Requirements and Qualifications
- Credentials:
- Registered Nurse
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Experience:
- 6 months of RN experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
