Sprinkler System Inspection Position Available

We are seeking a skilled and experienced sprinkler system inspector to join our team at Johnson Controls. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sprinkler systems and be able to perform quality inspections that meet customer expectations.

About the Job

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Inspecting and maintaining life safety product lines as well as similar competitive manufacturer's product lines.
  • Operating low-voltage equipment using low-voltage wiring and associated devices.
  • Documenting inspections and maintenance activities using Service Acknowledgements with proper coding.
  • Managing a highly structured inspection schedule.
  • Using laptop computers to input, retrieve, and archive inspection documentation.
  • Making minor repairs and programming changes while under direct authorized supervision.
  • Completing assigned inspections on time.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • NICET Level 2 in Sprinkler certification.
  • 3-5 years of documented experience in sprinkler systems.
  • Able to obtain and retain any licenses required by National, State, and Local codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, program schematics, and operational/product manuals.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter usage.
  • Demonstrates an aptitude for troubleshooting systems and performing necessary repairs.
  • Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and an ability to learn quickly.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test.
