Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Ochsner Health System. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation and recovery of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patients and develop personalized treatment plans to achieve optimal physical function and mobility.
  • Provide inpatient physical therapy treatment programs based on physician orders and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate information exchange and promote patient satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, adhering to documentation standards and policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
  • Current physical therapy license in the state of practice or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

The Physical Therapist will work in a patient care area, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The incumbent may be exposed to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste within the environment.
