Job Summary

The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is a key role at MultiCare, responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory testing, quality control, and data analysis tasks. This position requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and process patient specimens, ensuring accurate identification and handling.
  • Determine the suitability of specimens for testing and reject any that are not suitable.
  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments, including calibration and maintenance.
  • Perform data analysis and technical problem-solving to ensure accurate test results.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a related field, such as medical laboratory technology or a related science.
  • Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or registry eligibility.
  • Minimum one year of previous laboratory experience, preferably in a clinical or medical laboratory setting.
